Where tool data comes from

Every tool entry is compiled from the vendor's official website, documentation and pricing page. Each entry shows a "data last checked" date. If a fact cannot be verified against a public source, it is left out rather than guessed.

When you will see hands-on notes

A "hands-on notes" section appears on a tool page only when we actually installed or used the tool. Entries without that section are data records, not reviews, and we label them accordingly. We never write usage impressions for software we have not run.

Screenshots on tool pages are our own captures unless explicitly credited otherwise.

Conflicts of interest

The author works in the 3D generation software industry (see About). Entries related to the author's employer or its competitors use the same template and standards as everything else. We currently accept no payment for placement, no advertising and no affiliate commissions.

Corrections and updates

Vendors change pricing and features constantly. When we re-check an entry, the "data last checked" date is updated. Publication dates on guides are never altered to make content look newer than it is. If you spot an error, contact us and we will fix it and note the correction.
