About this site

This site is run by Simon Hong, based in China. He works full-time in the image-to-3D generation industry, at a company building a product that turns images into 3D models.

That vantage point decides what gets covered here. A generated mesh has to survive the same pipeline as any other asset: exported, converted, repaired, sliced, loaded into an engine. Seeing where that breaks is what makes one question worth a guide and another not worth writing. The facts inside those guides are then sourced and checked against vendor documentation and public data rather than written from memory.

Disclosure

Working inside this industry is also a potential conflict of interest. Any entry covering the author's employer, or a direct competitor of it, uses exactly the same template, data fields and standards as every other entry, and receives no special placement. See How We Review for the full methodology.

What this site is

A structured directory of 3D software plus practical workflow guides. Tool entries record verifiable facts: pricing model, platforms, supported input and output formats. Guides cover format conversion, software interoperability, mesh repair and scanning workflows.

What this site is not

We do not publish scores, rankings based on opinion, or reviews of tools we have not used. As of today the site carries no advertising and no affiliate links. If that ever changes, this page and the affected pages will say so.
